On the afternoon of April 20, 2024, the EFL medical Workers Cross Salon with the theme of "Integration and cross, Efficient empowerment" was successfully held in Zijinjang Campus of Zhejiang University. The salon focuses on biomedical materials, bio-3D printing, tissue repair and regeneration and other research fields, aiming to promote communication and interaction between researchers, and transform the academic conference based on "listening" into a themed salon in the form of "free exchange and collision of ideas". The salon planned to recruit 80 people, and the actual number of participants exceeded 120.
1. Theme sharing session
In order to fully integrate cross-cutting and teacher-student interaction, the salon set up a diversified form of sharing, from the lofty sharing of Jieqing, Youqing, Nature publishers, to the innovative research progress of young scholars and doctoral representatives focusing on subdivision.
At the beginning, researcher Xianfeng Lin made a wonderful report entitled "Tissue regeneration and Repair Research based on cell metabolism regulation", and shared the experience of Nature papers from idea acquisition, experiment development, paper submission, revision and reply. Next, Jun Yin gave a presentation entitled "Multicellular Continuous Digital Light Processing Printing", introducing a high-precision DLP multicellular soft tissue printing method assisted by temperature-light-magnetic multi-field, showing its application potential in the construction of complex biological tissues. The third report "3D Bioprinting: "From Organ Model Construction to Organ in vitro reconstruction" was brought by Professor He Yong, chairman of this salon, who shared the history of medical and industrial cross-research for more than 10 years and the concept of "Engineering for Life" of the team. EFL solves the labor-intensive and highly educated blue-collar phenomenon in biomedicine through standardized and quantitative ideas. Promote smart manufacturing in the regenerative medicine industry. Finally, Dr. Gao Qing, co-founder of EFL brand, shared EFL's services and cooperation mechanism, aimed at the pain points of regenerative medicine research faced by new researchers, front-line research main forces, and senior PI/ business leaders, which are "from entry to proficiency to transformation, high threshold, large investment, and long cycle". EFL carries out the whole-link service of "science popularization → service research → Help transformation". By creating two major technology platforms of biomaterials and biomanufacturing, EFL provides biomedical hydrogels, bio-3D printing equipment, cell observation and analysis instruments and other overall solutions for the pursuit of reliable and efficient regenerative medicine researchers, so as to efficiently empower the whole link of regenerative medicine research to transformation.
The second half, Associate Professor Xu Enbo of the School of Food, Zhejiang University, Researcher Li Shuai of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, and Dr. Shi Yang of the Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine respectively made "Green preparation of starch nanoparticles and its application in 3D printed food", "Engineering blood vessel network manufacturing and tissue repair", and "A new strategy for craniofacial functional repair based on personalized manufacturing "Report on the theme.
2. Interactive communication session
The host Dr. Gao Qing invited 5 representatives to share on the stage, in order to open the core link of "free exchange and collision of ideas" salon, they are Zhang Di from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), He Qing from Fudan University Affiliated Cancer Hospital, Zhou Mingyong, founder of Hangzhou Setu Gene, Jin Yu 'an from Ningbo University, Dr. Sun Miao from the Stomatology Hospital Affiliated to Zhejiang University Medical College, You shared your problems and thoughts based on your own situation.
Then nearly an hour of interaction, interspersed with senior professors' questions and answers, the whole process of thinking is highly collision, the atmosphere is active, from professors/chief doctors, young teachers/doctors, to graduate students freely, have expressed their own feelings. All participants mainly interacted and communicated on the following issues, and experts and scholars also gave their unique opinions on these issues.
➢How to carry out interdisciplinary research?
➢How to choose the fund code for interdisciplinary project application?
➢How to write and publish high-level papers?
➢How to find a like-minded academic exchange platform?
➢How to solve the problem of inefficient teamwork?
The medical and industrial cross salon came to an end after the dinner exchange. The free sharing, easy interaction, co-creation and sharing exchange made all participants gain a lot and have more than enough fun. At the same time, EFL also looks forward to cooperating with all parties to jointly promote the development of cross-research and transformation of medical industry!
